John had a problem with his VAT registration which HMRC were trying to cancel. He owned a recycling business which had turnover of £200,000.00 every month. John had charged VAT on his sales, and wanted to claim back the VAT he had been charged on his purchases. This is what he said about Tax Champion:
"A visit was arranged with the VAT officer who came to my scrap yard to see the records and find out how the scrap metal had been bought. I was looking at a VAT bill of £33,333 every month if my VAT account was cancelled. Tax Champion’s Tax Advisor came to the meeting to make sure I gave the right answers. I was glad that the Tax Advisor had been there because the VAT Officer asked all sorts of questions that I would not have answered correctly. After 2 hours the VAT officer agreed that I could be VAT registered so I could claim VAT back on my purchases. It was a huge relief to get this sorted so quickly, all thanks to Tax Champion."
