Draft legislation has been published to change the basis periods for the assessment of self-employed profits to coincide with the tax year.
HMRC have recently confirmed that they will be bound by CEST results provided the information is accurate and it is used in accordance with their guidance.
The fifth SEISS grant is now available for the self-employed to claim before 30 September 2021. HMRC will contact those traders that may be eligible with their claim date.
